Easy: along the river
Follow the valley floor from Stechelberg towards Lauterbrunnen. The path is mostly flat, passes meadows and waterfalls, and the Trümmelbach Falls are on the way. Take the bus back if you don’t want to walk both ways.
Moderate: up to Gimmelwald and Mürren
A steep path climbs from the valley to Gimmelwald in about an hour, then continues to Mürren. Many hikers walk up and return by cable car. See Gimmelwald and Mürren.
Demanding: high mountain trails
Higher routes lead to alpine huts and lakes. These need good fitness, proper boots, and a check of snow and weather. Ask locally and check official trail status before you go.
Mountain weather changes fast. Carry layers, water and a charged phone, and turn back if clouds close in.
